Toll car park from Esater to mid-september On site, picnic tables, toilets, water .... Starting point for many hikes.
From the gorges’ car park, reach the charming hamlet of Heric.
A nature trail gives you information on the fauna, flora, and geology.
Prior to going to the Gorges d’ Heric, you can purchase the "Gorges Heric booklet" for € 3 (only in french) at the tourist office. It will help you answer the questions asked along the trail.
Early morning or at dusk, you might see moutain sheep, which are numerous in the Caroux. Mountain sheep of Corsica were introduced into the Caroux massif in 1956 and acclimatized very well in this southern mountainous area. The area now has the largest mountain sheep population in France
“Malviès trail” in Olargues
Departing of Olargues, one of the "most beautiful villages in France", a hike in the bush and scrub the Foothills. The road is wide, well-marked, rises steadily. Nice view of Olargues and Caroux. Shortly before the Bacoulette pass, it goes down towards Malviès and then Olargues on a very steep path.On the way down you pass the Hameau de la Salle by cobblestoned route. A final ascent to Buis Pass and you join the greenway that will allow you to enter Olargues.5:00

“Ayrolle trail” in Roquebrun
This beautiful trail climbs the fabulous Gorges de l'Orb to the foot of the village Vieussan and leaves in the thick scrub that covers the western slope of the top of the Ayrolle. Wonderful from start to finish. Pretty shaded all the way but no water point ... In summer, you will definitely get to see canoes down the river.
Entering Ceps is through a new path opened in 2013.

The walking tour of Caroux Summit
This is a hike to do with the whole family, as much for the superb views as for the diversity of the scenery and the relative ease of the hike. (The route can be done in the recommended opposite direction to avoid the steep ascent of the start.)

The waterfalls of Mauroul
Departing from the hamlet of Mauroul, this route allows you to discover the narrow streets of Mauroul, its wash-house, four waterfalls and a ferruginous water spring. On the trail you will find botanical information about the local flora.
